I seem to remember in the past when it came to capping the local scene in the States it was usually cappers, I think, capping their own local newsbabes. For example, aztec had his immense threads of the L.A newsbabes, or nonblogger's Detroit babes and braniac had his great Boston newsbabes thread that captured ladies from all the major networks in those cities.

Now, for the past few years even though there are less active cappers capping, there does seem to be a more wider coverage of stations across the breadth of the US and not just focused on the few big cities. For instance, mphillip's content from Tampa, Nashville, Atlanta, Huntsville, Salt Lake City, DC, Fort Myers etc and when I chip in with content from Philly, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Miami, Cleveland, San Diego, L.A etc. Added together it seems like a more wider (though imperfect) coverage of the local newsbabe scene across the United States. So me and mphillip instead of focusing on one location, are posting bits from multiple locations.

Speaking as a non-American who does cap American newsbabes, the American scene is where you can really spread your wings as capper because there is so much potential content since America is so huge and there are so many local stations. And its a good challenge because I do want to get everything even though that is basically impossible and I certainly want to expand my repertoire of the locations of the American ladies I cap are from.

That is a very interesting take. I also say that mphillip does an excellent job covering many ladies from some countries in the world.

Germany, France, Italy, Great Britain, even Canada and Mexico are covered by some cappers.

Overall, there is a lot to choose from--and that I have always said through the years is one of the best reasons to be on this site.

Is there an outright lack of content from local markets? I can remember when Facebook streaming of entire newscasts was all the rage. But as soon as the pandemic hit, those quickly died off. Most of my content came from capping straight from Facebook videos. Several of my local affiliates have YouTube pages. But the content from those mostly features stories taken from broadcasts where the reporter introduces the story, and then it goes straight to a taped report where that reporter isn't shown. There are a ton of reporters with Facebook pages where you might find one pic every now and then. But how interesting is that?

I have been curious how others make caps and what the source has been over the years. I will record a newscast from cable TV onto a DVDR and play DVDR back on computer to make caps that I end up posting. LOL
