TUDN USA ended between last Friday and Sunday. The Univision Miami studios were closed. Several mass layoffs and departures. The channel will continue morphing who ever was left behind with the Mexican version of TUDN. Like ESPN Deportes, the few remaining people will move to Mexico City, Mexico. Contacto Deportiva and Republica Deportivo will continue with new female hosts and mostly new guys.

Adriana Monsalve is supposedly staying with TUDN. Ana Caty Hernandez the former CD host has been for a year coming from Mexico already. Lindsay Casinelli managed to stay in America and so left the channel. Univision is moving her in some new role to Despierta América but no clue if it is enough to keep her when contract ends. She is highly upset by the changes. At first it trickled out the people running TUDN USA were all fired including the staff who worked behind the scenes.

Now several hosts announced departures. Channel began in 2013 and in 2019 entered a partnership with Televisa Deportes. Both became TUDN. Studios were in America and Mexico. With the merger just approved 5 months ago between Univision and Televisa changes arrived.

Lindsay refused to move. Everyone else quit or was let go that wouldn't move. Lindsay got a lifeline to remain. The sports guy on Primer Impacto likely stays on too.

Adriana is currently figuring out what to do. She did announce she is staying. But didn't add much else. But she posted footage on Instagram of the Contacto Deportiva studios being torn down.

RD will use Hoy's Tania Rincon. Why? Who knows. I do know that CD is in flux now. Adriana never said she was still doing the show. Some new people began doing the show from Mexico all week.

It's pretty much a confusing mess. Karol Tamiko a YouTuber doesn't understand why it had to happen. Now US Hispanics will get Mexican Sports? Not that they didn't already but they had US sports too. Technically they can still do coverage of American sports still. But it's a interesting curveball. Espn did this in 2016 with its Spanish network. So there is a precedent.

Be a good time for Telemundo to start a 24 hour sports network with everyone displaced by this move.

A few weeks later I can add it didn't technically end but 90% is from Mexico City. What happened is that moving shows and ending studios changed the format. Now that means hosts, anchors changed. Contacto Deportiva lost Adriana Monsalve, who stayed, and they lost Lindsay Casinelli, still at Univision but not with TUDN, and several male hosts. You have a new woman who joined CD, Maria Fernanda Mora. She jumped to Televisa from Fox Deportes. To confuse some more there are two similar outfits TUDN USA and TUDN Mexico. But these changes merge them more.

Ana Caty is on two shows now only in Mexico unless you pay a small fee and VPN. Televisa content went pay or TV everywhere in 2019. Ana is also reporting and on La Jugada. But her CD show is 35 minutes and on Las Estrellas channel.

Adriana left both CD and La Jugada. Was with a team doing US sports including MLS and MLB.

Valeria Marin moved to Vix to do a sportscast.. Lindsay was moved to Despierta America to do sports or the last hour talk show as panelist.

Kind of related but Mas + ended on Univision and Galavision ended Cuentamelo Ya after two months on air.
Saturday version is no longer on due to sports. You need a VPN, PayPal and Blim to see the shows that left Univision but be aware Blim will soon be renamed Vix+. And Televisa is pay to see.
