The program centered around what things have been happening to our planet, and some of them were quite stunning:
In Siberia, where it is normally one of the coldest places on Earth looked like California. The smoke from their wildfires could be seen as far as the North Pole.
Also of note, and more worrysome is in Greenland. Icecaps are melting and have been getting worse since 1980. Most of them are starting to resemble sinkholes. The rush of rapid water is one of the roots to why temperatures have increased 2.7 degrees per year. If more snow doesn't fall there, we are doomed.
Ginger said it best at the end of the program:
"We have agency and responsibility.
What can we do to help?
Well, we can vote for our leaders, vote with our dollar...there are alternatives out there--not sacrifices.
In a lot of cases, they are upgrades.
We need to find equity in these alternatives, and once we do that--it's not too late."
