For the long time members and newbies alike: Red Eye was a very late (3:00 AM EST) and VERY irreverent talk show, hosted by Greg Gutfield. It took post shots at the popular culture any anything else that Fox News had in it's crosshairs. Red Eye went six~seven seasons before it was wound up and Greg outfield took his show to Saturday nights.
One of the allures of Red Eye was that Fox News female anchors made regular appearances (all time leader: Patti Anne Browne), in which they "let their hair down" and had a little bit more fun than when they were actually being news anchors/reporters.
Julie Banderas was a as strait-laced as anybody, but could wear her heart on her sleeve (search julie banderas shelly phillips roper on YouTube) every now and then. Well, one night she was a guest with comedian Sherrod Small, and she let her hair down a bit too much. For all of Roger Ailes' sins, and for Gutfield's pushing the envelope, apparently Julie went a little too far, and that taping was pulled, never to be aired. Her presence on Red Eye was no longer requested for the rest of the show's run.
Julie, now married and mother to three kids and two Pomeranian dogs, confirmed as much on Twitter this week:

If anything else, consider it a protest to Fox News for still overdoing it with the social distancing and not having any more leg shows or curvy couches on their shows. Fight me.
