https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/ ... jukiC1LdGs I saw this on my FB Feed and wanted to ask. Personally, unsure I would have got that far if I was her boss. Heck, there's a reporter who was able to keep his job after hitting a woman (though he went from Morning Show Anchor to reporter after that). Plus, she's not the only anchor/reporter to appear on Movies/TV shows and won't be the last. |

article is unclear, did she ask the bosses for permission before doing it? If she didn't, then they are totally right to nix the idea. if she did, they said no and she did it anyway, she's dumb. |

She said she "mistakenly" did the cameo so it sounds like she thought it was okay to do it and didn't go thru her contract before doing it. No surprise since other Boston anchors have done cameos. The WHDH bosses were morons to let her go, she was a good anchor. But WHDH news is a joke anyway, they brought sensationalism and all flash to Boston news so it looks like your watching a tabloid show. It got even worse when NBC dumped them and they put everything into their news. The only reason I watch it is for the hotties. |

Had she obtained permission first, maybe this might not have happened. Again, this begs the questions: How did she land the part? Did Alaina actually take vacation time, unless of course she has family nearby? She isn't the only one to make a cameo in a movie. There have been countless others playing themselves on many occasions. How far then is that proverbial 'I dare you cross this line' routine gone so far, especially with women being singled out all the time (thank you to those who made the Bombshell movie what it was--mostly trash in my mind.) |

To me that means she didn't read or remember the details of her contract about appearing in movies so she wouldn't have had any reason to think she needed to obtain permission. She made a mistake and she paid the price that was obviously specified in her contract. The station could have given her a warning but instead decided to be hardnosed about it. I wonder if they wouldn't have fired her if she didn't look so silly dressed as Harley Quinn. |
