She has plenty of time to write another book. Put on hiatus. She announced she is not back till sometimes at the end of year. Jake Tapper will expand to two hours.

Is there a reason why she's on hiatus? If anything I thought Brianna would have been the one on "hiatus" because Fox News has attacked her and her husband (an Army Officer).

Wouldn't doubt it. Also, another reason she still on she was (still is really) a political reporter. Wasn't she a Correspondent at the White House.

Brianna was WH corespondent & before that she covered Congress. She also covers that Clinton campaign of 2016.

Now that Brooke is apparently back, I got to say I can’t remember something like this happening before.
You’re a main host on a national network, they tell you to stay home for a month during the biggest story ever, then you just come back when it’s over like nothing happened.

So she just returned to a network that took her off the air for months? She should have resigned or quit over that.

I agree from afar but if she had time left on her contract and nowhere else to go, I guess you stay and cash the checks for as long as you can.

One hand, I kinda agree. That's messed up to do to a veteran anchor. Heck, it would be messed up to do if a station just hired someone, gave them a show, then weeks/months into their job their's bosses decide we're going in a different direction come back in a few months. However, Brooke was getting paid. Who wouldn't want to take months off if they were still getting paid? Plus, it's not really a time to look for another job because of Covid and also, I doubt news stations are looking during the election especially news anchors. Also, it would be bratty if Brooke left.

Hasn't been much on news channels to crow about anyways in a long time so that is fine. Once I liked her until I gave up caring.
