I honestly am so angry at the deluge of hate directed at Megyn for comments that were part of a much more generalized segment on political correctness. Megyn has been attacked for one thing or another since her show started. The ladies on the View continue to spew their crap constantly. I agree that her morning show format was not in her wheelhouse but Megyn never stood a chance. I tweeted my support to her. I hope she recovers from this.
Roker and everyone else at NBC pretty much threw Megyn under the bus. How the comic book caricature that is Al Roker can spend a career making millions acting like a buffoon says a lot about the idiocracy of our society.

That’s the unusual part of this, NBC made a big deal of it on Nightly News & Today when no other networks did.
Usually when 1 of their own has controversy, they’ll ignore it and hope it goes away.
It almost seemed that NBC bosses WANTED this to blow up so they’d have a reason to move her out (and the employees seemed happy to help).

Unrelated: the new haircut last few days looks great, best she’s looked in a while IMO.

Strange to see this kind of thing on NBCnews.com, they’re covering it like she works somewhere else (and maybe she soon will).

This paragraph at the end was interesting too, goes against the popular narrative that “they were doing better at 9 am when Tamron was there”
"Megyn Kelly Today" has increased revenue in its time slot. Variety reported that the time slot increased revenue in the first half of the year compared to the first half of 2017 by 26 percent to $65.8 million.

How difficult would it have been for Megyn to talk about this with Sheinelle Jones or Craig Melvin instead of Melissa Rivers or Jenna Bush
For a smart woman Megyn says a lot of stupid things, like this and Santa Claus was white

Full disclosure: No I was not happy about how/why she left Fox News and her involvement in Roger Ailes' downfall. Nor was I happy about how she's being utilized at NBC.

That being said: If those comments were the cause of the end of MKT (not sure if she's staying on), if I were her, I'd say "Screw it, fire me and cut my severance check already." Given how network news has gone south (hat tip to social media), Megyn should take her millions and be a wealthy stay at home mom on the Upper East Side. She's married with beautiful children and a lovely a$$ that gets tapped on a regular basis; who needs to live and work in a global fishbowl at the mercy of those riding the hamster wheel of outrage?

look at Oprah, Katie Couric, Bill Cosby, Howard Stern, etc

probably the biggest reason the blackface thing even happened.
who knows if she truly believes it but it appeared she was mostly just trying to be hip, irreverent, cool, funny, etc.
she's not any of those.
she's elegant, pretty and can read a prompter.
she should've stuck to that.

Plus the prime time lineup is full now and Megyn wouldn't go back to daytime there
