My two shiny pennies: To be frank and to be fair, I DID NOT READ any of the stories linked in this thread. So, why am I commenting on something I know nothing about? How about this: BECAUSE I'M TIRED OF THIS B.S. Linda Vester has been off the air for damn near fifteen years. Tom Brokaw, working or not, is barely relevant in this 24-7-365 cable driven news cycle. Why should we care? More important, WHY EXACTLY IS THIS COMING UP NOW, DECADES LATER? DID SHE REPORT IT AFTER IT HAPPENED? TO WHOM? Did she really tell anybody? What exactly did she do to get people (not just women, not just men, but anybody and everybody) on her side and to take her case? Did she seek any kind of help and support to go after him? Exactly what benefit does she happen to gain from doing this now, when both of them are fairly irrelevant? I'm putting this out there because I am fed up with #MeToo and all of these sexual harassment/sexual assault allegations that are coming up DECADES LATER, instead of being dealt with/reported AS SOON AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE. This #MeToo BS, IMHO, is not so much about seeking justice, as it is destroying a man's reputation. Not saying that the fata$$ who ran Miramax and Roger Ailes didn't get what was coming to them; they were known predators who operated with impunity for decades. But as far as I know, Tom Brokaw has been a professional and a decent gentleman. Is Linda doing this now for "justice", or is she out to just settle a score and take a sledgehammer to his reputation? Like I said, I am fed up with this #MeToo, #Time'sUP BS. Between 22 years in the Marine Corps and another nine as a government contractor, I have been told at least twice a year: "Sexual harassment/sexual assault WILL NOT BE TOLERATED; if it happens, REPORT IT ASAP." That's the culture I was professional raised in. But hey: I could be wrong. Relevant quotes from both sides or it didn't happen. |

Vester is relevant because she's talking about Matt Lauer scandal which is recent. Plus I'm sure Fox News just loves sticking it to NBC News and why not have someone who accused another NBC News personality of wrongdoing and former Fox News talent? Also even if women do report it immediately sometimes employers don't take action against the harasser and/or go after the victim and cut their role big time. Rudi Bhaktar as an example. I believe she complained against Brian Wilson and she was forced out after a year and he continued at Fox News until he retired. Plus with the expectation of Megyn Kelly and Laurie Dhue, some of the ladies from Fox News like Rebecca Go-Go Diamond haven't been seen on TV after complaint about Billo. Also, Lauren Silva, her career ended when she admitted being a victim of Harvey Weinstein. |

Of the Newspeople I have met & conversed with, Vester has an attitude problem. She has the biggest attitude. Couldn't even converse with her as she had an attitude of her blank not stinking & how dare a peasant common person dare to converse with her. Also for the other poster along with Gomez from FBN Tracy Byrnes has also vanished. Also dont forget the Post Roger Ailes Fox Execs have been scummy. Forced Juliet Huddy out (Harassed by O'Reilly & Too close to Ailes, Rumor was Ailes Friends with her Dad. ) & while Juliet was on Megyn's show they Fired her brother John a Fox Reporter During the interview. |
