Virtually every tv show you watch, in which a courtroom is involved, none of the women wear hose. I mean in real life that would never happen, it would be like a man coming into the courtroom with no jacket and tie on. Its considered a faux paus for a woman attorney in the courtroom to even wear open toed shoes, let alone no hose. I wonder why they do this, recently watching the tv series Bull and nowhere on there do any of the lawyers wear hose. Last time I remember a tv legal series that got that right all the time was Ally McBeal, and that was 20 years ago.

Any thoughts?

Hose have all but disappeared from the legal profession.

Today it is acceptable for women to wear pantsuits in court. :Doh

I blame "Sex and The City" for making the bare legged look "fashionable." In my mind, when that show was hot, many women stopped wearing hose and never looked back.

People in the fashion industry would likely have another explanation, but that's my two cents' worth.

Just wait, Andy Griffith will be accused of racism in his younger years and activist groups will DEMAND all his shows be taken off the air, including Matlock, and that will be that.
