I discussed with Art about how the comments and views have decreased over the years It makes it tough for the cappers I have a lot of respect for the guys like you and tdubya who have been here year after year I've seen many a great capper suffer from burnout and it's understandable Just know that you and your efforts are appreciated by a LOT of people

It didn't help when "RATpidshare" deleted half of uploaded files 2 days after paying them an annual premium when they stated in the advertisements that if you had a premium account ( your files will never be deleted as long a the premium is paid) Not exact word buts close. I have been away from here a while for various reasons. part health : part personal and just because I'm getting too damn old. I'm back because making videos is enjoyable and although "thank you's" are not necessary they are appreciated. I am still at mediafire (free one) but will reach my limit soon. Many of the clips I have tried to download are sites I have never heard of and make you "go through hoops" to download unless you sign up for there "premium" site (no way) If anyone know of a great (free) site to upload please advise No it is NOT like the ol' days but WWOW hasn't changed too much. Still pretty damn good Loneranger |

I can fully understand why cappers/ content posters would feel under-appreciated. That being said, please know that even those who don't bother to post a thank you or any other acknowledgement of your work appreciate your efforts. Lurkers willl be lurkers. I try to post my thanks in many different sub forums. I think the problem in 2017 is that there are simply too many other places to go on the internet. When I joined back in 2004, I felt like I had found a very unique place with content I truly appreciated. I knew of only a couple of similar forums, but I liked WWoW the best. All I can say is please keep contributing. We all get busy with stuff but please don't ever think that your work is not appreciated. My two cents.... |

Very true, in my case since 2005. It's just also IMHO-there are not as many cool segments to see on television, even compared to the last few years. I recall seeing tons of Hannah Storm on CBS, Katie Couric and Meredith Vieira on NBC, and Rebecca Gomez/Diamond and Tracy Byrnes on Fox Business. But Nick and sparty are right, there are other sites to find caps. It's just, this site I always enjoy coming back to more than others. |

Funny, I joined WWoW 4 days before you newsguy and I also started at ReporterCaps with Sabrina, Gambit and the infamous one, shadow. Those were good days. I think there was more comradery there which made it enjoyable. What I mean is like members (and not just 1 or 2) would discuss not only the anchors but also TV shows, movies, sports, even current events. Guys even had their own chat threads at RC. Of course I was too shy myself. Sparty could explain successful chat threads. He was a mover & a shaker. WWoW has all those threads here but try posting something in one. It's futile. Pool tries to get the sports enthusiasm up by running brackets and fantasy leagues. I did the NBA fantasy league for 3 yrs but dropped out b/c there never more than 5 players. The NCAA bracket is not much better. March madness is coming soon. Let's give Pool a record turnout this year.I see 90% of the movies & TV shows out there. I'm ready put my movie critic expertise to the challenge. ![]() I have to believe like myself there are many folks here that knew me or I knew them from elsewhere. Maybe internet haters have worn you down. I know I've come close many times. But I'm just so damn ornery I just keep popping back up. |

The chat threads were cool as was the feeling of community The other thing I liked about the RC board is each newsbabe had her own thread So if you were an Ainsley nut like me, you could make it into a personal shrine

I hear what everyone is saying about the way things are here. The idea you can keep the same level of postings and/or replies over a 15 yr period is something that's never easy. Don't forget we started before YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter. That's pretty amazing to ponder. I tried to post caps clips early on then others came along posting better quality and frequently so I focused on spam. I'm here daily deleting spam and/or helping members w username issues. As for the future of this site: This site belongs to everyone here. The main problems going forward are free places to post caps and clips. Seems like that free sites that host media are closing every 6 months and leaving behind alot of pissed off users plus dead links on this board. Hopefully free sites will continue to flourish allowing cappers the opportunity to continue posting. |

Agree too with Pool. I really always thought guys did this for just the fun or hobby of it albeit a lot of work. I learned a lot from this thread. So to all for what that's worth.

I appreciate your efforts pool, Laker as well and the other mods/admins who keep the site clean from all the spam intrusions and such. We've talked about giving the site a facelift but so far we've not found anyone with expertise to do so but talk to the admins if you have the know-how. Otherwise I'm happy here. WWoW has the biggest and badest news anchor collection out there. There's lots of celeb sites but WWoW is #1 for anchor babes.

I've always tried to show my gratitude to the cappers and clippers. I wish more would follow suit... |
