Wide World of Women

Not sure if this goes here, apologies if it don't, but here is what gets me

You watch all these legal shows that are or have been on tv, like Boston Legal, Fairly Legal etc, and most of the women if not all, don't wear hose, even tho for a female lawyer that goes into court its considered a major faux paux not to wear hose (and they have to be nude/beige from what ive heard) when in court. Even when the time of the show is set in winter, hardly any wear hose, check out Boston Legal for instance, yes I know its not on anymore, but still check it out and see for yourself. Sucks to be honest. Anyone else ever notice that

Boston Legal and The Practice were 2 of my favorite shows on TV. I think that based on the time the shows were aired is the biggest factor of why the women do or don't wear pantyhose on screen. The Practice was made in the late 90's and early 2000's. At this time it was still looked at as fashionable to wear pantyhose and the women on this show wore pantyhose on the show. The women of Boston Legal did not wear pantyhose and I believe it is mostly because when the show aired pantyhose had stopped being fashionable. Since these shows are more about Hollywood and the fashion that goes with Hollywood, that is the biggest reason pantyhose are not on the shows. Almost everything about Hollywood has to do with fashion, not reality. Even if all female attorneys wore hose in real life today, Hollywood would probably still show a majority of them without.
