Yeah, when this happened because of the type of person I believe Gretchen to be I want to say i'm inclined to believe her but the more I hear from other people I like or believe in on the air like Kiran was or like some things Judge Jeanine has said I don't really know anymore. Noone in the room but them probably really knows. I just hope it ends the best it can.

the article says her ratings were up 22% over a year ago and the show was consistently #1 in its time slot.
it got beat once by CNN in the 25-54 demo by 4000 viewers, which is nothing.

interesting letter and she makes some obvious points (of COURSE false accusations on either side are bad) but sorry, I'm not buying that her departure at FNC was the fault of "middle men."
Ailes is very powerful; if he really wanted her there, he could've overruled almost anyone except maybe Murdoch and made that call.

I think the middle man she was referring to was her agent, who pushed the issue and wanted Fox to fire Gretchen

Gretchen was obviously aggressive in her pursuit for more air time (nothing wrong with that). Doesn't quite jibe with how she makes Ailes out to be (you'd think she'd quietly finish out her contract and leave, if anything) but who knows.

In any event, Ailes probably thought - "Glad I keep all the correspondence from my on-air talent."

It does, but if the story is true about the other women who worked at Fox coming forward and backing Carlson's version of what it's like working at the network and for Roger Ailes, then she will have a good case.

Well regardless what happened with Kiran's exit at Fox News, she's not bitter at Alies for that otherwise she would have roasted Alies' a$$ or not said anything.

We are never going to know what really happened. This will be settled and sealed out of court and both sides will sign nondisclosure agreements and it will be history. Since there is no monetary request being made there is no need for it to go to court. Only Gretchen and Ailes know what transpired in that meeting(s).

Fox apparently has proof that Ailes wasn't trying to sabotage her. He wrote a letter to Bill Shine to give her another shot and to promote her show more post the September meeting. I hope Gretchen has a lot of proof or she might have a tough time beating the Fox machine.

Yep. Stick a fork in him because like Cosby, Ailes is done. If Rupert saw fit to resign after the News of the World mess, do you think he or his children that are running Fox News will let Ailes stick around? Ailes' lawyers are following the standard playbook most recently seen from Cosby's lawyers: deny, deny, deny, but sooner or later his own sh*t is going to stick to him and the halls of FNC are going to have such a stench that Ailes will be gone. these guys have too much ego and love the limelight too much to give up, IMO.
