Gretchen C Fired by Fox, filed sexual harassment suit

A quick note about Gretchen's lawyer. Just saw this on her website

(Sara Lee) Kessler v. WWOR-TV (1999) – Awarded $7.3 million
In 1999, Mr. Neil Mullin and Ms. Nancy Erika Smith tried Kessler v. WWOR-TV, a discrimination and retaliation case that resulted in a jury verdict of $7.3 million. The Appellate Division reversed and remanded because of error in the jury interrogatories and because it determined that a witness was not really “unavailable.” The case settled before retrial.

So she has went through the process of suing a media entity before. Ironically WWOR is now owned by Fox.

At the time, WOR was a superstation and she did a midday show with Matt Lauer before NBC discovered him
I didn't know about the lawsuit
Last I knew, she was working for New Jersey public TV

Aly was the newsreader at the time
She got moved to F&FW and Ainsley got bumped back to overnights
Always thought that move was made because Gretchen didn't want to work with Aly

And I'm not surprised by the Doocy allegations. I'm not saying they're true,but he always seemed like a bit of an a-hole to me.

When there's smoke, there's fire. Besides, Fox started declining IHMO, over a decade ago.

I wonder is this was part of the dirt Trump threatened to put against Fox/Ailes?

I didnt remember her on the midday show but I go back so far to when she did the news at noon with Tom Dunn!

It was big news in Jersey but didnt get much coverage on the NYC Stations.

If I remember right the suit was over age discrimination & I think Antisemitism.

I havent seen her on the NJ News since chris christie gave away the public tv station & let his buddy steve abudabo run it. Only person left of the old guard is Michael Aaron the political reporter who was on forever. They actually have Mary Alice Williams as the anchor ( Yes the same Mary Alice that was the face of CNN in the 80s ).

PS I did remember Janet Langhart with Lauer & she ended up marrying William Cohen the Defense Sec.

Seeing this dont seem to be about the money this is a direct shot at Roger. Either she wants to expose him as a class A Ahole, or this is a direct shot from the left trying to destroy Mr Fox News.
Also by naming Doocy's alleged antics she has put him in a bind. If its not true he can sue her a$$ off. If he doesnt sue he leaves the impression it is true. I know people will say "Not suing dont prove anything" BUT if I was accused of denigrating a woman co worker that is a Black Mark that does not just go away I am suing her all day long & going on every talk show calling her a liar. Doocy is put in a position of having to sue her to defend himself IF its not true.
Also I wonder if by not naming him her atty is going to call him as a hostile witness?
I wasnt there so I cant say they did or didnt do what she claimed I am just giving my 2 cents about the way the case looks.

Well I'm sure Gretchen's legal team knows what they're doing also if Doocy did sue, she would countersue. He'll probably should get a lawyer if he doesn't have one yet. I know I wasn't a big fan of hers mostly because I don't agree with the Fox News view points but still if the allegations are true that Alies is a POS that I hope she wins. Didn't he said that Trump had a sick obsession with Megyn Kelly? Guessing he had his own sick obsession.

One interesting sidelight in all this
Ailes' agent is Peter Johnson Jr., who is a sub host on F&F and a Fox legal analyst
I doubt he'd handle the case but he certainly will be involved
Since Ailes and Doocy go way back, I'd bet Johnson would also advise Doocy

Glenn Beck had it coming. since he would not apologize for some story he ran that where not true or where in way bad taste. he been ask few time to apologize but would say it not my fault it people that do my research fault. when he even told them to do it that way. if he was in wrong still believe he was in right. he like phil laak. will tell lie make you believe lie is true.

The NYT was undoubtedly happy to actually report the news too. With a copy of the lead page of the suit. Have to see what comes of this but if all is true, Ailes should have known better with Gretchen, her standards are not a secret.

It's sad. She MADE Fox News what it is. She was the Queen Of The Upskirts (my personal preference). More than that, she was an honest journalist. I don't know whether the charges against Roger Ailes are true or not, but I know Fox And Friends has gone completely in the toilet and not worth watching anymore since she and Hasselbeck left.
She'll land on her feet somewhere.
I met her during the RNC in Tampa briefly, and she's a completely stunning woman. I wouldn't blame anyone for taking a swipe at her.

Good point - for a person who made F&F out to be her dream job she didn't stay very long.
