I knew Maria was engaged annd got married recently but it did come as a surprise she changed her last name from Molina and took up Timmer. Her new name sounds a little weird doesn't it? Maria Timmer, I've always known her as Maria Molina so it will take me some time to adjust lol. Maria sounds very Latina, foreign and sexy then Timmer sounds like a boring white surname (no offence guys), it just feels like a mismatch. She might aswell go the whole way and call herself Mary Timmer since that actually goes together. People on this forum still call her Maria Molina.... |

Personally I prefer the ladies keep them maiden names at least for TV purposes, well depending on the last name. Wasn't happy when Lynn Berry went by Smith, Lindsay Soto went by Rhodes (though starting to get use to the latter). Especially Lynn when her HLN co-anchor go by went maiden names on TV. Mostly because sometimes marriages don't last, E.D. Hill went by a few different names. Megyn Kelly kept her name after being remarried. I know it's not a popular opinion to have (and possibly sexist I'm admit) but that's what I believe. |
