Well, do you don't really think it has much to do
with the hosts, do you?

Gutfeld is annoying, but there is nobody on TV who is more terrible than Watters. He always comes off like he believes he is so much better than everyone. My guess is that if you take away the teleprompter from Watters he actually knows nothing. However, it is easy to see why he has a show...he works for Fox and loves to make fun of Democrats. That makes him #1 to the execs. I have only seen his show twice, but I saw a segment where he walked around Yale and made fun of people that could not answer his questions. After he basically started hitting on a female student security came and told him to go. The guy is a TOOL!!

Gutfeld I understand - he's smart and his humor is hit or miss but if you surround him with a decent supporting cast he can anchor a decent show (the early days of Red Eye were worth DVR'ring).

Jesse Watters I don't get. He's probably a very good producer but he's not a comedian. Anyone can do a "man on the street" interview and edit it to make the participants look like idiots.
He is good at filling in on The Five and throwing rhetorical bombs around (I still remember when the camera caught Bob Beckel giving him the middle finger) but his new weekend show is the pits. But that's just my opinion - I read a trade article that said it does well in the ratings, so go figure.

Watters owes his career to O'Reilly
I figure promoting one of his protégés is a way to help keep Bill happy
Gutfeld is frat boy humor
Personally, I don't think he's funny
The one who should get more air time but doesn't is Andy Levy

I look forward to the day Watters gets in the wrong persons face with his condescending "in your face style", and they wipe the smugness off of his face.

I'll reiterate what I said before above --

If you think there's a lot of weight in the talent of the guys hosting,
then you don't understand FOX.

It's as least as important (if not more so) to have more excuses
to keep the wardrobe department and set designers busy and creative, what with all of the eye candy in their arsenal.

I'd bet Ailes couldn't care less if a show was hosted by a circus clown as
long as all of those factors are in place.

THIS. Its basically the same for both shows. Watters can basically walk the halls and get any foxbabe he wants to appear on his show, including ones that are just contributors from time to time but don't actually report, host or anchor shows.

That is equal to all our regular faves + babes like Lisa Boothe whom we finally got to see outside of the box she's usually in at Martha and Hemmer's townhall recently and her legs look just as gorgeous and shapely as you'd have thought they are.

When it comes to Gutfeld he at least has the redeye experience and has been a magazine editor but also each week he's gonna have Joanne, sometimes Cat who's abrasive and irritating as hell but has a kick a$$ body and legs that don't quit on the couch and including one other one at least some weeks that you won't see on the other shows that is just as sexy like Amber Smith.

Other than that they wouldn't draw flies.

I've been wanting to punch Watters in the face for years, but I don't watch for him. I watch for the leggy, all female guest list he has on a regular basis.

Watters got a slap or two? Had it coming.

Would love to see someone with a crew follow him around while
he does his thing, and see how he likes it. Probably would go running
off to some other street corner.
