Al Jazeera's American channel is going to close operations in April, due to lower than expected ratings, and loss of advertising: http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/201 ... /78746490/ http://variety.com/2016/tv/columns/al-j ... 8/#respond This doesn't affect too many of the ladies we track here, but one notable one would be Nicole Mitchell, formerly of TWC, who is now chief meteorologist at Al Jazeera America. Given her contentious history with TWC, it's not too likely she'll return there, so best of luck to Nicole in landing somewhere else before too long. . |

Al Jazeera shutting down.. and all of their 38 viewers will miss it. All 38 of those viewers are currently at Gitmo

Libby Casey -- formerly of C-SPAN and the public broadcasting station in my longtime home of Fairbanks, AK -- may probably be one of the few talent going back to where they started: local TV (there's a job opening at the Fox station here in Atlanta, which may or may not have been filled yet)!!! |
