Post subject:  Sara Haines anchoring World News Now?
I wake up this morning and I see Sara Haines anchoring World News Now alongside T.J Holmes. This seems rather odd. ABC has never sent a member of it's GMA or GMA: Weekend team to anchor the overnight shift. I have noticed that they've been giving Reena Ninan Mondays off. Sara sounds really odd delivering "real" news instead of being the Pop News Princess, er, expert. :mrgreen:

I don't know if any of you were up at 2:35 a.m this week to watch any World News Now, but Sara just didn't look like she could pull off being an anchor. Her chemistry with T.J Holmes was limited at best. It just wasn't a good pairing. I don't know why they chose Sara to fill in for Reena Ninan. Sometimes Tai Hernandez has been filling in for Reena on Mondays. Maybe they were testing her to see if she could do more than just the "Pop News" role that she has on the weekends. Lara Spencer has filled in for Robin Roberts during the weekdays, and has done reasonably well. But Sara just seems to bubbly and can't stay serious enough to be a standard news reader.
