Because there was nothing on after Robin. Well there was but it was 50 stories/50 states and What would you do? Why no HLN now? |

It's a one day thing if you believe the Directv program guide after Morning Express tomorrow (12/4). I wasn't able to find anything recent about programming changes at HLN. The HLNtv website still has HLN now listed. From Christi Paul's Twitter account “@TravellerPat: Hey! When you next on HLN?” Wait! Sorry - change. Tomorrow (Thursday) at noon. Not today. I saw where about this time yesterday she told him she'd be on today at noon. Then corrected herself this morning with that reply. Maybe it was a last minute decision to go with reruns all day. |

I was thinking the same thing too. MXP started recycling segments in the second hour and was only live at the top and bottom of the hours, like they normally do on holidays. Then I realized that Bob Van Dillen mentioned on Twitter that the network was having an annual meeting today, so it seems that the on-air talent was shorthanded due to this. |

Everyone at HLN was meeting with Albie Hecht and Jeff Zucker this morning. Here's one mention of the event: http://cnncommentary.com/2014/12/03/alb ... xtyearnow/ Most interesting though, this moment from the meeting when Zucker responded to a question about Robin/MXP: http://cnncommentary.com/2014/12/03/the ... obinmeade/ |

Yesterday, HLN in Atlanta had an all hand on deck meeting that was headed by Albie Hecht, but the real big guy, Jeff Zucker was there as well. The two tried to explain to the staff that HLN is not for sale. Although, HLN was this/close to being sold to Vice Media earlier this year. According to insiders, most of the meeting was cow doodoo, with a bunch of stuff said that "no one believes." Zucker did a Q&A with staffers for about 45 minutes and pointed out the fact that HLN's Morning Express does better than New Day, with a lot less resources. According to CNN Commentary, Zucker then said, “There’s nobody better in morning TV than Robin Meade.” Not sure how the Anchors at New Day are going to take that statement? What wasn't said in the meeting and has not been talked about is that Jeff Zucker has offered Robin Meade basically a blank check to come to New York. Sources say that Zucker wants Meade to join New Day and save the show from failure. Before CNN revamped the morning show, FTVLive suggested to Zucker that he should move Meade over to CNN. Now, it appears that Jeff Zucker is realizing that our suggestion was a good one. The problem is that Meade does not want to move from Atlanta and she has firmly planted her heals in the A-T-L. Her singing career has taken off and to be honest, Meade could leave TV news altogether and be fine. Next week, Meade is being showcased a Vegas casino for 10 days. That has not stopped Zucker from doing all he can to bring Meade to the Big Apple. Stay tuned.... http://ftvlive.com/todays-news/2014/12/ ... n-new-york Will Zucker get her on New Day? Will she quit and stick to singing? or Will she stay on HLN and keep the channel a float? Sounds like she is between a rock and a hard place. |

He should have moved Morning Express to CNN and not started New Day. Robin's great at her own show, who knows how she would be with Cuomo (if that's what the plan is now)? |

MXP would do JUST FINE at either CNN or HLN----as long as the talent stayed the same!!! They all work so well together, with Robin guiding the ship, so to speak! You can plug replacements in for days, or even a week, but the format is best when it's Robin, Jen, Bob and Bryan. |

".....Zucker went on to say say he, Shane Smith (of VICE-once rumored to be buying HLN) was an “a$$hole.”....and has no idea what it takes to program or to run a network." Wow.... talk about pot meet kettle. . |

Can't believe the bosses wasted a day of programming on a BS meeting though probably saves them money. I said in an earlier post I think Robin would rather do a local morning TV show in Atlanta or Nashville than go to New York though I'm sure she could ask 10 million dollars a year (OK doubtful though Zucker did often a blank check). Also I don't think anyone could work with Chris Cuomo really. Also surprised no one suggestion Bryan be replace by one of the ladies who rotate in Weekend Express. Nothing against Bryan McFadden but can they add another woman to the program or get Rafer back. |
