Interesting (albeit lengthy) article regarding HLN's rebranding strategy for 2014 which boils down to getting a younger audience by incorporating social media and following stories that are trending on the internet. http://www.buzzfeed.com/peterlauria/hln ... cial-media I can't imagine they are going to stray from their prime time staple of court cases and celebrity legal troubles but who knows. This sounds promising in that they are going to do something that will be different from all the other cable news networks but from how it is being explained I can't imagine that they are going to grow their audience trying to take people from interacting on the internet and move them to doing so on HLN. |

Downside is will HLN go younger with the On-air talent? If so, what does that mean to the current people? I'm sure nobody would shed a tear for any of the guys (Mike, Vinnie) however is this curtains for Robin, Christi, Lynn, and Susan? Also I believe if they want to this, they should still in Atlanta. Just saying. |
