This makes perfect sense. There is no edge or angle... It always presents itself as middle of the road.

I think either the talent would replace (meaning Bye-Bye) or a new show. Either way Kate is more than likely will be replaced so will Chris and the other chick.

I would think that content would be the first to go......Kate's job could be in jeopardy as (IMO) there's little to no chemistry between her and Cuomo and Cuomo was seen as a big get when he was hired.

I would suggest that the go the Fox And Friends route and introduce some variety in the show with some cooking segments and exercise segments.......works for Fox And Friends and the network channel morning shows. Maybe people don't want straight headlines with an occasional interview with a politician in the morning.

Yeah, I'd love to see them dump all of the banners but the weather banner is only something that is useful for people waiting around in an airport.

I think that is a perfect idea, to introduce new segment like cooking or workout to the show. I recorded the whole show for the 1st time yesterday (normally I just catch a little while I am getting ready for work) and I have to say that it was terribly boring. I just kept waiting for something interesting to happen, and I got nothing. I have always been a fan of CNN, mainly because I don't like the slant of Fox News and even though I like Morning Joe it gets repetitive after a while. But I would rather watch Morning Joe or ABC's Good Morning America.

I hear you, but I have a problem w/ even the weather banner in this age of digital and mobile devices... I would love to know how many people are relying on CNN's New Day weather banner for the forecast....ugghhhhh

American Morning did without it for a while or at least put it on the sides. Hard to find New Day clips that come even close to the old Kiran clips...

Thanks for the clip.....those were the days.

One thing that continues to baffle me about New Day is that they had that massive set built and they stay at the desk for the vast majority of the show. I'll never understand that.......if you have space you use it as seen in the Kiran clip. What's the point of having a couch section if you use it for the last 5 minutes of the show.
