Fox spared no expense All kidding aside it doesn't seem like FNC considers her new show a priority at the moment. The couple of times I tried to watch the set was too dark. Worse than F&F1st. I'm on the fence about Gretchen, but for the sake of all of her loyal supporters... I hope FNC isn't setting her up to fail in order to push her out of the door. She deserves better than that after all her years of loyal service sitting between dumb and dumber. |

The show is basically unwatchable, having a hard time finding the proper level between serious and silly. But, Gretchen is as cute as ever, and one can only hope she'll give us some cap worthy material soon enough. |

I've lurked on this board for years, this is the first time I felt I truly needed to post (but thanks, seriously, for all the good stuff from others over the past). I think the problem is Gretchen has played dumber than she really is for so many years she is finding it hard to switch out. I even remember a thread on this board a few days ago where someone had bought into the act, thinking she was actually a ditz. I was in high school when she was Miss America and I remember her visiting my school. She was the most poised speaker I had seen in person up to the point, perhaps ever. She graduated come laude from Standford and studied at Oxford. It is a shame she has had to hide her excellent mind to fit into a morning show act. It is the reason I simply could not watch her on FnF, she was just too different from the sharp, confident young woman I remember all those years ago. Jon Stewart even did a Daily Show segment practically begging Gretchen to stop pretending. Hopefully she can find her stride on her new show. Megyn certainly did not hide her smarts in that timeslot. P.S. - thanks again to the fine posters/cappers for the great work over all the years I have been lurking. P.P.S - no idea why the message board code refuses to spell c-u-m laude correctly. Oh, well. . |

Good points, fsckoff. Whatever the politics, I love this forum for the pure appreciation of the lovely ladies on TV. I hope Gretchen's show stays on because I love her sexiness. I keep an eye on all cable news channels equally, looking for the hottest newsbabes. Unfortunately, I can't do that for a living; nor, frankly, have I taken the time to learn how to cap/clip myself, so I am grateful to the persons who keep posting on this site, especially the ones who do so upon request. You all rock!! |

Just have to say I'm relieved that this thread is a discussion on studio sets. I was afraid when I clicked on it that Cobra was posting some really tasteless joke that could get him banned. . |

Some of the camera shots when Gretchen is sitting at the desk with guests on the other side are not bad. The table at interview area is annoying. |

Yeah, I haven't seen any of her new show yet but I figured it wasn't worth checking in on visuals wise or someone here would have clips or caps up of it. |

After thinking about those 2+seeing Gretchen's new show... It wouldn't shock me if within 18 months she is gone. FNC will let her say she wants to "Spend more time with her family" but it looks like she has been set up to fail. |

E.D. had exactly that time slot (Martha did the old Live Desk before her until she was paired with Bill H. and Megyn took both hours and E.D. left) |
