Elisabeth's first week at Fox and Friends saw a 18-20% increase in viewership while it gave New Day it's worst ratings (just 50k in the demo):

This is exactly why Ailes hired her, let's see how long this significant increase in viewers lasts.

It was a breaking news week, so that may have contributed to the bump. Plus it's Hasselbeck's first week.

Regarding the breaking news - that's what surprised me with New Day. CNN usually does well during big news weeks but they had their lowest numbers ever for New Day. And re: her first week, I think the ratings were the same the whole week and didn't drop on her second day or third day. This is good news for Fox since F&F ratings were falling before she came.

Given her work at the View, I'm sure Elisabeth Hasselbeck will be a great asset to the family of Fox & Friends. (I still miss Gretchen Carlson, though! :D )

As far as pumping up the ratings is concerned, may I make a suggestion?...Have an all-female cast---pick ANY three you want! :shades :shades :shades

Not to take a shot at New Day, and not that this correlates with their numbers, but I haven't seen too many caps from New Day in about a month or so.

I haven't seen any caps for Ashleigh or Zoraida either. Not a CNN fan, but I do miss those ladies.

New Day is a capper's nightmare. Unless you're watching live, you have to allocate a 3 hour block on your DVR daily for what will be one or two minutes of cappable footage.

Because New Day is not capper friendly. Zoraida never does any segments away from the desk. And as for Ashleigh...I don't know where the hell Ashleigh is these days.

Early start with Zo and Ash was a capper's dream. To this day,I'm still angry over CNN's decision to break those two up.

Ashleigh is on CNN weekdays 11am. She does her show from the NYC newsroom which recently got a remodel it's not a good set for leg.
Sometimes if there's a in studio guest you might get a little under desk leg.
