Most of this stuff isn't too surprising (O'Reilly and Hannity hate each other? What a shock) but it is interesting:

For his efforts, he got fined $6,000, ordered into community service, and forfeited his laptop.

No jail time, unfortunately.

It's interesting to see how they try to justify their behavior by making up stuff like this.
It's amazing all the corporate insight he gathered by being an office fluffer. Now he can go back to his tent and protest "The Man."
Salon is kind of like "Sesame Street" for the socially retarded.

Thanks for posting this.

Yeah, Salon.com is really fair and balanced and all objective journalism and stuff.

Totally taking this one with a grain of salt.

I'm surprised people still try to defend any particular news outlet. At one time or another they all get sloppy and make mistakes.

I have one wish. I would like much more severe consequences for being stupid and saying or writing things that can be proven false. I would like any news anchor to accumulate stickers that they have to wear for everything they say emphatically that turns out to be false. The sticker would read "I'm stupid and I don't know what I'm talking about."

We give people too many passes for being stupid, partisan, and more emotional, than intelligent.

So the questions is, how many "I'm stupid" stickers would your favorite news anchor be wearing today?

Finally, I would like to see the results if the primary on-air talent from Fox News, MSNBC, and CNN took an intelligence or IQ Test. Which network has the most intelligent anchors?

There are consequences for being stupid, people stop watching. When that happens management starts kicking people out.

Once everyone read the paper, now they don't. The broadcast networks once set the agenda, that hold is slipping away or as gone.

I'm just curious...how do we know there's not a conservative mole inside CNN/HLN or msnbc getting ready to post on Brietbart.com about the inner workings of those networks?

How do we know this isn't some disgruntled former employee who (deservedly) got fired for doing something stupid?

And if we're going to bash FNC, would it not be original to do it from a more objective source?

Honestly folks...this is pointless. There are two undeniable truths: 1) Journalism in this country is long dead, if not comatose. 2) Fox News is beating CNN/HLN and msnbc in the ratings. Until EVERYBODY starts addressing truth #1, truth #2 is never gonna change.

Line 1: you would just love that one...

Line 3: for FNC watchers, any source "other than FNC" aren't objective

No one is objective. Fox News admits it's leaning so you can use that a reference. The rest claim they are which is easily disproven. Why should you believe a liar?
