After 11 years, she’s leaving as host of the syndicated version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire, TVGuide.com has confirmed. Vieira opted not to renew her contract, which is in its final year, because she plans to launch her own YouTube channel to feature people’s life stories, a source close to Vieira told The Associated Press. New Millionaire episodes will air through May and reruns featuring Vieira will be shown throughout the summer, an ABC spokesperson told Reuters. The new host will take over in the fall. |
