OK, it's all been made official as of this afternoon ---
Savannah's signed on the dotted line, etc.

http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/tv ... 8734.story

Notice they didn't discuss this live on the show itself this morning?
Instead late in the afternoon at the beginning of a holiday weekend?

It's a common public relations tactic, if you have some major announcement to make, but it's related to something
negative or embarrassing, release it at a downtime for the media, and when the general public is not paying
close attention to news. That way it kind of stays under the radar. Wonder how Savannah feels about the
network doing its best to bury the news of her new promotion? Stay classy, NBC. :?

* For another example of timing announcements to be ignored, see Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes' divorce
statement -- also made this afternoon. No coincidence when they chose to release it. :?

Ann the butterfly will have to get away from the ugly peacock.
I've watched Ann since the beginning of her career at NBC.(No Balls Company)
She did the early morning broadcasts back in the late 80's. She was gorgeous then and now.
They paid her well, but screwed her in the end. The Today Show is nothing but fluff
and celebrity butt kissing anyway. Ann needs to rethink NBC.
Well, here's my tribute to Ann's beauty.

:thankyou

No, north900... :thankyou for that beautiful picture of gorgeous lady! Too bad it comes as consolation at her "reassignment".

Not a SG fan at all, really she is not appealing at all to me. I think NatMo is by far the better choice.

Kate Snow was on this morning. I'd take her over SG any day.

Urban Dictionary now has a definition of "Ann Curry'd" :jetserl

1. Fired without merit or reason

2. Being let go from a job unexpectedly

I'll take Meredith back full time! I agree with the posts about Savannah. She was growing on me up until she replaced Ann, and since then she's been less energetic and not as playfully sexy. I know these aren't the qualities of a real journalist, but we are talking morning TV.
