OK, it's all been made official as of this afternoon ---
Savannah's signed on the dotted line, etc.
http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/tv ... 8734.storyhttp://www.usatoday.com/life/television ... 55920638/1Notice they didn't discuss this live on the show itself this morning?
Instead late in the afternoon at the beginning of a holiday weekend?
It's a common public relations tactic, if you have some major announcement to make, but it's related to something
negative or embarrassing, release it at a downtime for the media, and when the general public is not paying
close attention to news. That way it kind of stays under the radar. Wonder how Savannah feels about the
network doing its best to bury the news of her new promotion? Stay classy, NBC.
* For another example of timing announcements to be ignored, see Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes' divorce
statement -- also made this afternoon. No coincidence when they chose to release it.
