Post subject:  Sarah Michelle Gellar on Letterman from SD to HD
I'm not sure if you have seen this before, but I found it interesting...

My local station ran a weather alert as SMG was walking out and into the interview. When it has these alert crawls, it kicks to an SD feed. What I caught and found interesting is the real-time switch to HD after the alert is done. I just thought it was neat seeing the picture difference in real time, and even the audio difference to a degree.

The HD to SD thing happens sometimes. The Today Show does it a lot when they toss to the locals for weather and when they cut to commercials. Also when they do banners and such as you saw on Letterman.
