This marks my 2,000th WWoW post -- and I can't think of too many better ways to mark it than to apply it to a
real favorite of mine (and some of yours, I'm sure).... actress & singer Laura Benanti.
You might recall another thread centered on Laura from a while back:

It's still active and will be updated, but will focus mainly on photos as it mostly has. This spot will serve as a "video gallery",
and also will be added to from time to time.

Although she's best known for "The Playboy Club" from last year, and currently a part of the NBC sitcom "Go On",
Laura also has a recurring role on "Law & Order SVU" (can't say NBC isn't fond of her ;) )
This clip assembly is from her best scenes from "Law & Order SVU" from January to May of this year.

Since the last update, Laura's profile has come up considerably -- her TV work has expanded, and last week,
millions got to see her doing what she does best as the Baroness in NBC's live "Sound of Music" special.

Back in November, she made a brief guest appearance at the "54 Below" nightclub in New York during a show
by the group "Skivvies" (they normally perform in underwear as a gag). Here, Laura "unwraps" while performing
Katy Perry's "Part of Me" and Alicia Keys' "Superwoman". I'm sure you'll agree this clip is worth
a look.....or three ;)

(On a side note: A few days ago, it was announced that producers have selected actress Gal Gadot to take on the iconic role of Wonder Woman in the upcoming Batman/Superman film.
Laura's name was one of those occasionally bounced around as potential, and I've thought so too. But after this little number -- I'd say they should seriously take another look at her :Tasty :Thumb )

**HOLIDAY SPECIAL**

As Laura continues to chart her path through TV these days on ABC's Nashville, and other stage projects,
it's obviously still 2011's "The Playboy Club" that most of us would agree made her known even though it was short-lived.

Through some great sources, I've located two items connected to the show that fell through the cracks.
A nice treat for anyone who not only liked the show, but Laura as well ;)

First up -- a title sequence for the show that wound up never getting used.
For whatever reason, producers went with a very different shorter opening that showed less of the cast faces.
This features Laura, along with her co-stars Amber Heard, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Naturi Naughton, and Leah Renee.

Next, it gets better ;) Laura appeared on the cover and inside of the October 2011 issue of Playboy
to promote the series.

This was a non-nude photoshoot and wound up only using 3 shots; but like many shoots, a behind the scenes video
was produced. It may have been intended to stay posted on Playboy's site for a while, but was rather
quickly removed soon after the TV series was cancelled. As far as I know, it's nearly impossible to find online
