This won't play with my media player classic so its supposed to play with the vlc player??

It should play just fine with media player classic. That's what I use.

I was trying to keep my desktop from being so cluttered so I hadn't downloaded it because I already have so many video players. I guess I have to though. Once I download it i'll have QuickTime, Real Player, Media Player Classic, Windows Media Player, Divx Player and then VLC.

Are you sure your computer is fast enough for 1920x1080 Xvids?

Once you get VLC, you can remove most of those players from the desktop. :Kool

What do you watch with Real Player????! :shock:

As far as the tech discussion goes, it played slow in MPC for me as well, but it played better in VLC. If you're going to download clips from a board like this, having several media players just kind of goes with the territory.

VLC is versatile, but won't play everything. Some .ts files will play for me in MPC, others won't. Some .mpg files won't play for me in VLC, but will in MPC. Most AVIs here play in MPC for me. As Sceptre mentioned, computer power can be an issue too. There just isn't a blanket "cure-all." You have to try different things. :Thumb

OK, I recently upgraded to the latest version of DivX, and now my HD Xvid files are playing in slow motion in MPC. Anyone who has this same problem, go into the Divx decoder configuration and disable generic MPEG-4 decoding. That will allow MPC to use the correct decoder and play the files properly.
