thats because you cant post full size pics you have to upload them to a host site like imageshack,photobucket etc and then post thumbnails to them Quote: Thumbnails with links are required for pics posted at WWoW due to bandwith issues.

Since you have been here longer than that and adequate warning was given about the rule, I deleted your posts. Also, it didn't help that you called Lisa a ghost for one of your posts and you never designated the posts correctly as the Shopping Forum rules require.

If you get a pop-up window everytime you open the pic, then you don't have your browser settings set right. Also, there are free pop-up blockers that you can employ. 
Full size pics take up our bandwith. Bandwith is the amount of bytes it takes to transfer a message from our server host to your computer. The less bytes transfered, the more messages we can have here at WWoW. We only have a finite amount of bandwith each month to run this place. If we run out of bandwith, the forum is down until the end of the month when we get a new monthly allocation of bandwith. By using thumbnails, it places a small amount of resources on our host's server and puts the bandwith back on the site that hosts the pic. Until you run a forum or a website on your own, it can be hard to fathom.

Also some members are still on a Dial-up connection,and it takes the page forever to load.I am on a high-speed connection at times it still takes some of the thumbnail pics a long time to load.Can only image how those on a dial-up connection have it.

As for the popups... "FIREFOX". No popups, ever. Unless you "allow" the popups, but you have to click to allow. |
