I was in her Yahoo group that she always chatted with. After Shop at Home, she moved to Florida and did some TV work down there. Now she's in Tampa (I think) and is running her own media imaging company. The next time she emails or contacts someone in the former group I'll make sure to verify.

if someone can take the time to walk me through step by step how to cap stuff and put it on my PC from a VHS tape, i have some VERY nice footage of Julie Tello on there from when she did the sports show on shop at home.

A real simple way is,
If you have a DVD recorder, just convert the VHS to DVD.
Then use your PC's DVD drive and playback software to make caps.

VHS/DVD recorders are getting cheaper. I have one and that is how I converted all of my tapes to DVD. Now I just use the DVD record side to record shows. Once I finalize the disc, I take it to my DVD drive and use Nero to make my caps. :Kool

ok thanks alot. ive been wanting to buy a DVD recorder for a long time. now i have even more reason to. when i have a few extra bucks i will pick one up.

is there a free capping program out there?

If you have a DVD player on your computer, the program that you use to play the clip should be able to cap the clip. Nero is one of the more popular DVD programs for your computer. :Kool
