Collen Lopez posted the following on her fb tonight.
"Colleen Lopez on HSN
Today I am toasting my beautiful friend and HSN Host Kathy Wolf on HSN! I still can't believe tomorrow will be Kathy's last day as an HSN Host. When I came to HSN 22 years ago Kathy was my very first friend - I will never forget the first time I met Kathy - her huge smile, warm heart and easy laugh made me feel welcome In my new "home". I'm excited for Kathy as she explores new opportunities - we will be seeing her on TV again in the future! Please join me in wishing her all the best as she embarks on a new adventure Love you Kathy"

Wow, one of my all time favorites, this hits me like Lisa leaving QVC. I can't wait to see what Kathy does in the future! :shades

sounds like a sudden thing.

so many of these women leave the shopping channels and never return to tv: Lisa R, Kunkle, Patti Reilly, etc :cry:

I agree with Gridly, they always say you'll be seeing them again soon, but it's rarely true.

As we all know, most of the time this happens is because of money. When the announcement is suddenly made online and there's no on-air celebration or hype of a host leaving, that means the termination was on bad terms. I haven't watched HSN recently but was there any on-air announcement or farewell by Kathy?
When the Q/HSN/EVINE hosts leave a shopping channel they always say we'll be seeing them soon and have high expectations of doing other things, but they usually all eventually end up on a different less important shopping channel.

Fascinating stuff.

Hate to be a wet blanket on the Independence Day weekend, but as we learned in Jerry Maguire, "It's not about show friends but about show business."

It is sad to see her go...after 24 years...with no farewell send-off show by HSN. Would like to think that is a sign of humility by the host, but also means that things soured between Kathy and HSN.

Last comment: I don't usually expect to see them again, but I do hope that their lives after [insert network here] are happier ones with more time to devote to family and friends, or other life pursuits.

I always wish them the best too. I think it is possible that some hosts may get tired of the job and want to move on and do something else with their lives, especially if they are young, but most do eventually end up returning as hosts in some lesser shopping format ala those on theshops.tv or Libby. It's sad that after 24 years Kathy didn't get the send off for a queen she truly deserved. :Furious

I was meaning on-the-air. An actual farewell show like Lisa R. had. I think Kathy deserved that.

From reading the comments on Kathy's fb page. She did say goodbye on-air, and as you can see in the picture from my previous post all the hosts where there to say goodbye to her on air, which is more then LisaR got.

Lisa Robertson's farewell show was a joke. It was the regular scheduled "Posh Presents" show. Alberti and Courtney showed a couple brief clips of Lisa through the years and where the only hosts there to say goodbye to her on air. Then they showed a brief clip at the end of the show with a few hosts and guests telling her goodbye. Then after that Lisa was rushed and could only say "thanks for 20 years, that's all can talk right now". Then they went straight to Rick with the TSV kickoff.

I hope someone got vid of it. I think the hosts that have been there for decades deserve true farewell shows. Both Lisa R. and Kathy have been great representatives of their channels and total professionals for 20+ years. The company owes them at least a proper farewell send off for all the work they gave. Like HSN can't take off one hour of hyping the same products for a host that's given 20+ years of loyal service ? Sad. :Bang Did all the HSN hosts come on the air together to say goodbye to Kathy like in the pic?

what is she roughly 48?something stinks to me.more like a "forced retirement" imo.sad,no more Wolf meat.
