I thought someone posted this once and stated they do get paid by what they sell.. If this is the case then the QVC hosts should be upset with Shawn Killinger and TPTB.. She is on 6 days out of 7 every week and does the minimum of 3 hours a shift so she has to sell more than anyone on the Q.. Such a shame and I wish I could see more of Gabrielle Kerr and Amy Stran.. Also Shawn gets more airtime than most that have been there longer than herself.. Just getting this off my chest.. Each time I turn on the Q she is on. |

QVC says the hosts do not get paid by commission, and that all the hosts are on salary. |

I think that was more about venting out your frustrtation over Shawn rather than the commision question. I agree though, shawn is on ALL the time!! Come on QVC, seriously. |

There was a topic on the web a few years back about how much show hosts make. They get a big salary and plus some percent on what they sales.I also read on ask.com where some asked and it stated they make between 80k and 500k and this is for QVC hosts. Here is also what I pulled up on the Internet: On average, in Canada, a HSN Host can make anywhere between $500,000 to $1 mil. per year. This number varies greatly depending on location, education, work experience and their term with the company. This number is not to say that every host is guaranteed that salary. Realistically, they would start at a much lower salary and make their way up to that amount Kerry McNally, former host on rival HSN said they can make $500,000/yr.+....I think the higest paid show hosts are Lisa Robertson and Colleen Lopez. They have been there for years and have a big following and know how to sell. Jill Bauer may have been with QVC the same time with Lisa,but she is nowhere near Lisa Robertson when it comes to selling products on QVC. I don't think QVC wants people to know what the hosts really make. I am pretty sure the top show hosts get a percent of what they sale. |

First off you know they are checking ratings...the more eyes on the show the more sales. Shawn has been doing her friday morning show for awhile now and shoppers really like her. She also does a saturday morming show with David that has done well. Then she has one or two evening shows during the week, so she isnt on all the time...just all the time you are watching maybe. There salary is none of my business...they dont ask about mine. Only thing I know for sure is one of my sons friends worked for h.s.n. in the computer division....Its pays well but they demand to much. From top to bottom they take care of the people they employ. |

As I said before they do not get any type of commission on what they sale. They're payed a flat salary with annual performance bonuses and get a 30% employee discount on QVC purchases. |

Getting off the topic of money for a moment, I agree with LynnMLover about wanting to see more of Amy and Gaby. To be fair. though, I dig how Shawn can rock the tights and leggings like nobody else on QVC. IMHO, when she's on, she's easy on the eyes. |
