Post subject:  QVC schedule grumbling thread (D)
does anyone else think it sucks that QVC does not post the host schedule online anymore? they're the only shopping channel that does this. yeah, i know LR had a stalker problem years ago, but didn't he get put away? don't the benefits outweigh the risks, i.e., aren't the viewers more likely to watch longer and, therefore, buy more if their favorite host is on? i DVRed silver style this AM b/c it was on @ an odd hour, so i thought i'd get sandra or amy in aunt jill and instead i got grandma gracie... :puke happy father's day...NOT.

I think it also sucks that my cable co. does not have the QVC channel in HD. It makes for a horrible video capture.

The stalker excuse is so lame. Pat James DeMentri does QVC This Morning 5 days a week. Lisa Robertson does PM Style practically every Monday night. Other hosts have their own type shows and also a lot of hosts at the end of their shifts tell you when they'll be on next!
Also hosts don't show up just before their shows are on or leave when they show they're hosting is over. If someone wants to stalk a host they'll do it whether the schedule is posted or not. And it's hard to believe QVC is the only shopping channel that has had stalkers!

It seems to me it's a way to get viewers to tune in more often to find out who is hosting certain shows and hope they stay tuned in and buy more products whether they like the host or not. If you know in advance a host you don't like is on you're more often than not going to watch at all.

Plus some hosts that are on Facebook will put when they are on. I know Jacque does that alot.

So you are going to email QVC and complain that you can't vidcap your favorite host if you don't know when they're on, right?

QVC knows there are some of us who vidcap the hosts and models already. The hosts and some models know about it too. Former host Christa Pitts once held up a photo of a vidcap I took of her with QVC model Angela and showed it on the air. Some models have even used vidcaps taken of them and put them on their portfolios or agency photos.

You could also send them an email pretending your a fat housewife, some of them prefer to watch and buy from certain hosts, and they don't make vidcaps or watch the hosts for the same reason we do, lol.
