The first clinching scenarios of the season:

Tampa Bay can clinch a playoff with a win and any of the following:

1. Montréal regulation loss
2. Columbus regulation loss
3. Any loss from Montréal and Columbus

If Tampa Bay loses in OT/SO, both Montréal and Columbus have to lose in regulation.
