buzz, Id just make sure you live within 8-10 miles of the TV station....and that you can take it back if it doesn work. I live 13 miles from a tv station and get nothing but 70% fuzz when I use an indoor standard definition anteanna....to get a good pic Id have to get a huge a$$ anteanna and put it ... |

first, I would like to know the best way to store DVD's....I bought two 50 packs with the DVD's in the spindle, they lay flat one on top of the other just the way they were bught. is this OK to store them the same way? thanks for the info buzz, what I mean by upper and lower limits is what is the closest (smallest screen size) and fartherest (biggest screen size) thats practical for a good pic?? at 81 inches wide that sounds like about a 100-110 inch diagonal screen size you have there...HUGE!......Im gonna have t... |

buzz, some questions on your projector: 1) how big is the picture in relation to the distance from the screen? for instance how big would the image be at 5 feet and 10 feet from the screen?? 2) do you use a screen or just a white wall? guys, are you talking about a rear projection TV or a front projector like movie theatres use? (I didnt list front projectors becouse Ive never seen one in the store in use) |

from looking at and testing every TV type in 4 electronic stores over the past 6 months Ive come to these conclusions.....here is my worst to best picks: 4) worst TV type....projection...Ive never seen a truly bright screen in projection and from off to the sides they look poor. 3) next to worst..pl... |

backrate still havent decided n a computer yet,but I like the idea of adding on relatively cheap hard drives to increae capacity, but your right its a lot more difficult than my stand alone units... |

aztec, a few more points: a RAM disc has tons of editing features you wont find on +/-RW and +/-R discs.....such as chasing playback and playlists. a playlist is where you can create your own shows from bits and pieces of previously recorded shows on the same disc...panasonic has lots of RAM disc re... |

NOTE: the above site is a goldmine of other info reguarding capturing and burning discs....although I DONT agree with the authors opinion on RAM discs in other articles.. |

Guys, Im thinking of getting a PC in the next 6 months or so....mainly to record video from direct tv......some questions: 1) on my DVR I can choose 5 recording speeds from 4.7GB per hour to .78GB per hour...I was told a PC doesnt do this .....does a PC hard drive capture perfect pictre quality ever... |

malone, that may seem high but its the cost of the whole recording/dvd burnin system and tuner and editing feature. Im not a PC expert but what would it cost to have a PC capable of recording/editing/burning DVD's off of a TV tuner with a 400GB hard drive? anyway, by next christmas it should come do... |

these work excellently:
Panasonic RAM & DVD-R
Maxell DVD-R 4X and 8X discs
these work ONLY in SP normal recording speeds:
Fuji DVD-R 4X and 8X discs
these do NOT work at all:
Memorex DVD-R discs
Lukily I got some maxell discs at 40 cents each today at office depot! |
