I need some input about software that can resize a large good quality mpg video to a smaller file size without losing too much quality. I've seen some of Papa Pauls avi's and they are crystal clear and only about 3MB. Here's an example of a large (10.8MB) clip that's really good quality: http://rapi... |

I just got a tv tuner card to use with XP media center, but I'm still waiting on the remote and IR sensor. Any ideas on what programs I should use to make caps of recorded TV? Is it possible to just use media center? |

For burning dvd's, the Sonic software I've got will allow you to edit as much as you want. I import my vids from dvd's, but any type of video file will work. |

I had an HP for a long time, but I had A LOT of issues with it. I'm not familiar with Toshiba's so I can't comment. I own a Dell now, and think it's the best pc I've ever had. The great thing about buying a Dell is all the customization. Go to there website and play around with different setups and ... |

Here's what I've noticed with my dvd recorder: 1) The bitrate and resolution both effect the quality of the recording. The higher the bitrate the less pixelation especially for things moving across the screen fast. Resolution effects the overall clarity. 2) There is a difference in the XP (HQ 1hour)... |

The photobucket wesite also resizes, but I've had problems sometimes with the quality. I don't know of any freeware for resizing, but if you want to buy software, my favorite is ACDSee. You have many resizing options, and you can change file types, worth the investment IMO. |
