In February 2003, PoolShark2 and
Doom1972 were chatting at BWF EZBoard. Doom tossed around the idea of starting a
message board for women. He asked Pool what he thought and asked if he could
help since Pool was an admin at BWF and knew how to use the controls on EZBoard.
Doom asked Pool what he should name the board. Pool was flipping through the
channels and came across Wide World of Sports on ABC. Pool told him a good name
for a board would be WideWorldofWomen.
Once the board started, Doom changed his username to BuzzCut72 then Buzz here.
PoolShark2 became BenWSU.
During the same time mahbb8 now yodaking started an EZboard of Women in Sports.
Doom asked mahbb8/yodaking to come and help with the newly formed Wide World of
Women. The few members at the Women of Sports board came over to WWofW.
The three started building the board up by asking cappers from different
locations to help supply caps to the board.
In December 2003, Buzz gave ownership to mahbb8/yodaking where he ran it until
June 2003, because of personal reasons the board was given to BenWSU to run for
a while until Rocky could take over.
After having over 4000 members on EZboard, it became more economical to go to a
website. Iceman and Yodaking put the website together in August 2004, with the
donations from some of the members. So here we are now with our cappers and
scanners adding over 1000 caps/scans daily of women from around the world. Each
day we are gaining more members and cappers/scanners and we welcome anyone one
who appreciates and is respectful of the beauty of women to our board.
