Since the last time I posted in this thread back in February, there has been way too much Rachel Reynolds--which is all fine and good for those fans who simply cannot get enough.

Plus, the newest of Carey's Cuties is some substitute model whose name is not on Wikipedia at the time I posted this entry--and may take a while to find out before the new season kicks off in September.

As it was, the lone set of Amber Lancaster that I was able to cover was from May 7, and it is a huge gallery at that--totaling 116 caps.

Not sure how far in advance these shows are taped but could the reason that there has been so much Rachel since Feb be because Amber is pregnant? She announced it in April and she is due in October. So it may be a long while before she's back on the show.

First of all, thanks to rockym for pointing this news that came out of her Instagram account from April 11. In my case, staying busy both online and offline made this news slip through the cracks literally speaking.

At least, we as fans can only hope and pray that when her baby is due come October that she will be both healthy and happy.

Of course, it is way too early to speculate on whether this happy news could mean the end of her 11 year run as one of a handful of popular models ever to be on the show.

Judging from this being the final batch of airings during Season 47, there was a total of 28 pics which started off yet another record day on Wednesday.

Monday started "Dream Car Week", and whom better to introduce some of the hot cars than famed comedian/car lover himself...

Jay Leno.

Judging by his handling of explaining the cars, plus rooting the six contestants once they reached the Showcase Showdown--it looked like he had a really good time.

Two-fer for you loyal fans.

First from Tuesday, Amber had lots of camera time.
Sadly on Wednesday, she barely had any camera time at all--largely because each of the last two showcases did not really feature the typical ending sequence.

FYI--the winning contestant on Tuesday's show actually jumped into an empty boat and Wednesday saw both contestants overbid.

Halfway into Monday's show, Amber presented what I think is probably the most clever and cutest prize they have ever given away in the nearly 47 year history of the show.

It is a personal robot by temi. It acts similar to an iRobot Roomba. But unlike that hands free vacuum cleaner, this hands free unit acts at times like a dog on wheels...and the best part, it takes photos.

Just prior to the four contestants placed their bids, the segment lasted 43 seconds in real time (26 caps). By contrast, when I finished listing the individual caps and updated most of them to avoid any possible signs of blurriness with both Amber's arms and legs, that part alone for me took around 16 minutes.

For the record, three contestants bid as much as a Toyota or any other small compact car. The ARV was $1,999.

The rest of the show played as usual, except it was very nice to see Switcheroo again.

I surely hope everyone enjoyed my efforts.

Only one slightly momentous (albeit clumsy) moment, which happened towards the end of Tuesday's show.

The Showcase winner Erika tripped on stage as Drew Carey was saying his good-byes.

The camera only showed the top part of her head, albeit it was very blurry when she went down. Thankfully, she was able to recover as you will see in the shots where the credits dominate the center of the screen.

From her times spent cheering on the former Seattle Seahawks from 2002-2004 (later became an all gender group called the Seahawks Dancers prior to the 2019 NFL season), Amber Lancaster gained quite a following:



Some might recall her being on the short lived 2003 ABC reality series Are You Hot--The Search For America's Sexiest People.

In 2011, she appeared as Jenny Swanson starring in two seasons of the MTV series The Hard Times of R.J. Berger :



But Amber Lancaster's stardom really grew to more gigantic levels to a nationwide TV audience in 2008-- thanks to becoming one of Carey's Cuties on the longest running game show in American TV history, The Price is Right .

The show which aired on Friday, June 14 at around the 9 minute mark while holding the microphone announced to the world about her pregnancy on the air alongside her husband A.J.:



I do not exactly know how long the turnaround time is in network television--in terms of when shows are taped to the time they actually air for the first time.

As someone else mentioned in this board a while back, I would like to ask all of you to pray for Amber for a healthy and safe pregnancy and her bundle of joy will provide plenty of growing pains for sure. More importantly, her family will get to celebrate many birthdays for the young baby and later on as a full fledged adult, but also bringing Amber and A.J. many fun Mother's Days and Father's Days to come.

I haven't actually watched an episode of TPIR in a long long time, but based on the caps, I guess that they stopped having the models wear bikinis and high heels in the showcase segment?

The old days of Dian teasing us all while strutting around in her bikini and heels were awesome!!

Amber and Rachel used to wear bikinis and stuff too. Then the show went all SJW and even added male models.


Thanks for all the caps bigz. Will you return when Amber does? I'm guessing she is likely to just sit out next season and return for the 20-21 season but she could return the second half of next season. I, of course also hope she has a safe and healthy pregnancy.

To answer your question rockym,

I might be able to cap--I might not. It largely depends on how much time I have left, because I am going to have start looking for a new job down the road.

And if I do get time, it could either be at night or on the weekends. It all depends in the end how many caps I typically would see in an hour's time.

At least, trying to continue where aztec left off--this has been quite an undertaking. But at least, I am having fun.

Turns out there was one more holiday special featuring Amber that was taped prior to announcing her pregnancy to the world, which aired on the Fourth.

I managed to only get 30 caps in all, because she was not on that much. So, I hope you enjoyed me in capping TPIR on a semi-regular basis.

The next time in this thread will hopefully be the beginning of the decade--that is, if and only if I have the time to do it.

I bet that you are all surprised to see me cap an episode before the decade of the 2010's ended, as I initially thought after seeing the Fourth of July holiday special.

We all remember this native of Downers Grove, Illinois as a longtime actress and member of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She gained millions of fans by posing for the cover of the December 2004 issue of Playboy magazine.

Lo and behold, but none other than Denise Richards made her TPiR debut in pinch-hitting for Amber Lancaster .

She blended in quite well during the taping, which also happened to be Rachel Reynolds' birthday :



Of course, after her messy divorce with Charlie Sheen in the early part of the decade was well documented.

Inbetween that period, she has made quite a comeback and is a proud mom to two kids--and a third child who was adopted.

I found an article from the UK which includes several pics from many red carpet appearances and times when she appeared on various talk shows. Of note is the one pic posing alongside the man, the myth, the legend that was the late Hugh Hefner.

The article also depicts quite a story about her initial rise to fame, then her big-time fall, and why she told her daughters why she posed for Playboy in the first place.

From first glance in my mind, Denise appears to be back in the good life again--and that is really great to see .

i used to know one of barker beauty's in late 90's. i worked with her mother and use to come by some time into grocery store few times. do not recall which one since like over 20yr ago.

Thanks to me finding out on a bunch of music related sites with Hanson and a few other groups appearing on the show, I was able to find that episodes are taped about six weeks prior to when they hit the air.

In Amber's case, the episode she announced about being pregnant took place on June 14.
They must have taped this episode around May 2 or 3, if that makes any sense.

Nevertheless, if we are lucky as fans--she might and I highlight the word might return just prior to the end of the 2019-2020 season.

However, if it is in the fact the end--she has that interior design business to fall back on. All I can safely say is, more power to her .

That is all I have to say about this subject.

In the meantime, any fans of Rachel and/or Mariela on these boards--please feel free to contribute however many or small number of caps from any show since Amber left to go on maternity leave.
