In addition to her private Facebook group regarding people sending in recipes for her to cook, she began on Wednesday doing the weather from her living room. Plus, there is a segment called GMA Moment. This time around, it involved a kid who was enjoying Space Mountain--albeit virtually speaking. You can find them on her Twitter handle @gingerzee |

After spending the first weeks of the pandemic broadcasting from part of her batcave, where ironically, her two young boys have their established play area (they love indoor basketball, just an FYI.) The best part, according to her Facebook page was that she gets to do her make-up just a few short feet away. "I still do my make-up every day." The small problem was, the lighting was a bit on the average side. Coming to the rescue were four of her trusty work friends, one of them has tagged along with her during major assignments when traveling around the United States. What they did this past weekend was nothing short of amazing. They constructed block by block a carbon copy image of what normally we would see Ginger standing with Times Square in the background. And even better, that end of the batcave has better lighting. Win-win for everybody. Even better, when she isn't on the air--Ginger's Cook Club is definitely the place to be. And even when you get approved to become a member, feel free to contribute your own recipes (yes, pictures are encouraged). Just make sure to type in your completed recipe in the comments section. On her main Facebook page, each Friday night is dance party night. Yes, she still has the moves from her time spent at DWTS. Her husband Ben, in his younger days was a DJ--so there you go. On Monday night, they were both together while cooking as Ben played a series of certain TV theme songs and singing some Billy Joel tunes. Most of them, Ginger could not figure out what TV shows they appeared on. And after viewing a few of their cooking segments, could a Food Network program not be too far behind to replace some of the reruns? Let us enjoy and have as much fun as possible until eventually the sexy times back in the studio will make its' very slow, but eventual return. |

What a pleasant surprise that took place on Friday. Ginger's mentor in meteorology James Spann, who has known her for over 20 years sent in a nomination for the Federal Alliance for Safe Homes (FLASH) as the 2021 National Weatherperson of the Year. Wait until the final minutes to see what happened to her award : https://youtu.be/w5WG-SIDa4Q Huge congratulations to Ginger, especially coming off reporting on over 2 feet of snow that fell on New York City and New Jersey. As a bonus, Will Ganas of World News Now did a nice report about Ginger's love of storm chasing and yes, answering a question on what the hardest dance she had to perform while being on Dancing With The Stars. That and more when you click on this link taking to the exact tweet: https://twitter.com/Ginger_Zee/status/1357681591917625345 |

Shifting this thread back to how she got into the science of weather in the first place, check this article from May 26. The response she received from her time studying at Valparaiso University has definitely paid off. Scroll down about halfway to read the interview: https://tempest.weatherflow.com/may_2021?utm_campaign=tempest_news&utm_content=168231954&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter&hss_channel=tw-74461915 |
