Slim Whitman's version of INDIAN LOVE CALL and ROSE MARIE are not good although they were hits especially in Europe where
he was a big star. I am a fan of country from the 50's and I do like some of Mr. Whitman's music.

I am NOT especially fond of the versions by Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy either

His version of CATTLE CALL(made famous by Eddy Arnold) made good use of his falsetto voice. He also did a great job on
SILVER HAIRED DADDY OF MINE ( made famous by Gene Autry) . I Guess songs like this one mean a lot more when you get old.

Download the 78's : Give em a try : Maybe you will find something you like. When you hears singer and bands with their
original music ( not enhanced or modified) you will see why they made it big.

Thanks for comment . Always appreciated
