first, I would like to know the best way to store DVD's....I bought two 50 packs with the DVD's in the spindle, they lay flat one on top of the other just the way they were bught. is this OK to store them the same way? Im NOT buying an individuel jewell box for each one cause I have 130+ DVD's..(these are ones I made not DVD movies bought)

secondly, I torture tested 2 DVD's....I put them in the freezer 4 times then ran hot water over them...I them steped on them 4-6 times and threw them around before finally bending them nearly in half....they played perfectly after this torture test despite a few scratches on them....I finally broke one while bending it and after bending the other one a few more times it got bent out of its original shape and wouldnt play......my conclusion? unless you delibratly try to destroy a DVD it wont break.....(this is short term abuse, I still want to know how to store them safely over the years)..

I usually just put them back on a spindle. if it is something I want to make sure is kept good I will put it in a sleeve. usually can pick up a box of 50 double sided sleeves for under $9.

If it is something I really want to keep in good shape I use a multimedia wallet. usually can pick up one that holds 48 dvds for around $9 when on sell.
