I have just acquired a dish network dvr system that is next to my pc (How convenient ;) ) I am a novice when it comes to creating vidcaps. Could someone tell me what I would need to connect the television/dvr to the computer? What kind of software or hardware that I would need? I am dying to create some vidcaps for the world to see :OMG

need a tuner card. You can get one that you put in your machine or and external one. The one that goes in your machine will create much better caps. Software, I would suggest dscaler, you can download that for free.

He can also get a WINTV

where im at they are about $50-$100 depending on whats on it

I have Wintv 2000
