Great news:
The blackened screen was caused by a small bug on my computer.
About an hour of restarting later, everything is back to normal using my browser of choice.

I don't know if this bug is attributed to the stormy weather affecting the Midwest, but I don't see any picture when I click on any YouTube page. Deleting cookies has not helped. Is anyone else getting this problem? If not, hopefully someone can email YouTube and figure out what could be to stop it. Thanks in advance, for cappers like me and others here on this board. Matt |

By chance are you using Chrome as your web browser?If yes it could be browser is the problem.Right now I'm pressed for time to help out but if you have 2nd browser try YouTube with it.It seems all the issue you're having the others are experiencing chrome seems to be the issue.Good luck!! |

I am using Waterfox, a sister clone to Firefox--if that answers your question. I had major difficulties using Chrome in the past. |
