I have several video clips that I can not delete from my computer
All of them are from about 2 years ago when I had another TV card and/or graphics card.

When I try to delete them, it says the file is being used by another program.
I can play them but not delete them.

Can I delete these files in any way?

Its seems that age old program is still running in the background. You need to make sure the program has been stopped. Try what Cobra said by booting the computer up in "Safe Mode". You get there by clicking on F8 constantly as the computer boots up. Once you get to the screen that allows you to boot up in "Safe Mode", select "Safe Mode". Allow the computer to continue to boot up. Once the computer has fully booted up in safe mode, try deleting the files in question.

Another simple solution is to use something like Unlocker, a right-click Explorer extension. As you can see there, it's a pretty crowded field.

Installed it nearly a year ago and it's come in handy more often than I would've thought. Picked it because it was free, tiny, single-purpose extension and popular on cnet.

Just make sure you get the correct version for your system, 32-bit or 64-bit (or no-install portable for either) and uncheck any third-party toolbars during installation, if you install.
