The pandemic robbed us of the Battle of Alberta happening in the playoffs, though the Edmonton Oilers did end up finishing fifth and enter with the best chance to advance. However, it has been said that the team is basically Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl standing above the rest, but I think they're deeper than that, with players such as Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Darnell Nurse, and assist machine Oscar Klefbom as well. And thanks to this modified tournament, the Chicago Blackhawks are in the hunt. We all know the Blackhawks dominated the 2010s; winning three Cups and establishing themselves as a superpower, though they ended the decade fizzled out--missing the playoffs on back-to-back years after first round losses. One thing that hasn't changed much is the core, pretty much the same players involved. I do want to say Chicago will take this, but Edmonton does appear to be stronger. Nevertheless, this will be a thrilling series.

Prediction: Oilers in 5

The nhl would love to see Mcdavid make a deep run in the playoffs.

Beware of the sleeping giant.
As far as the Hawks are concerned, two things to watch for:

Can Corey Crawford stay healthy, after testing positive for the coronavirus? As far as he goes, the chances of the Hawks improve.

Which leads to my other point, the defense has not been in the top half since their last Stanley Cup run. The more they shore it up along the third and fourth lines, they need to definitely play disciplined hockey and not give the Oilers extra chances. The longer they stay out of the penalty box, they could be in this series and maybe past this round of Qualifiers.

Two goals within the last 6 minutes, as it looked like the Oilers were mostly in complete control for a majority of the third period.

But just like in 2013 against Boston, the Hawks can strike and strike quickly. What a much needed victory.

Did Corey Crawford come up huge towards the end of Game 4 or what? What an effort.
