The Minnesota Vikings exceeded expectations on Sunday. Kirk Cousins definitely exceeded expectations on Sunday. The same quarterback who had been haunted by the whole "never defeated good teams" narrative, managed to lead the Vikings to a Wild Card upset OT win over the 13-3 New Orleans Saints. Of course, Cousins is amped up, but now he has a different opponent in the form of the San Francisco 49ers. Same record as the Saints, but the Niners are a different animal. Their defense has gained a lot of attention, along with their QB, Jimmy Garoppolo, Tom Brady's former backup. Another name coming out of analysts' mouths a lot: George Kittle, who has made many waves this season at tight end.

Notes: Vikings are looking to reach the NFC Championship for the 2nd time in the last three seasons. They are also the only NFC team left who has never won a Super Bowl. The Niners are on a quest to join the Steelers and Patriots in the six-timers club, and they will start on the winning end of this Divisional Playoff. Saints had defensive and passing flaws. Niners, not so much.

Prediction: 49ers by 13

Jimmy's still a little green and makes questionable throws, but he's definitely got the tools to go far once he really harnesses them.
