So I am apologizing for not completing my NBA thread. First the forum was unavailable. Then I was unavailable. But hey, stuff happens.

My intention here is to start an NCAA football thread for the 2019 season.

I will be focusing on top 25 teams but will likely expand my focus to all FBS conferences. I may even throw in some FCS stuff as well.

I am encouraging others to participate in this topic throughout the season. Who is your favorite team? What is your connection (if any) to the school?

The season will be here very soon. Hope the folks here will find the topic interesting.

Cheers,

CN

EIU has a strong program and Tony Romo And Jimmy Garoppolo as alumni. They should do well in the OVC this year.

The Fighting Illini have had some struggles lately. I think 2011 was the last season they had a winning record. Hopefully they can improve this year.

Everywhere I have read online and heard mostly on ESPN all point towards having a rematch between Clemson and Alabama.

Similar to last year, presuming Georgia reaches the SEC title game--the outcome will determine who gets one of the four CFP slots.

After that--look out for LSU and maybe (it is a big maybe) for Ohio State (new coach taking over Urban Meyer).

Also throw in that mix as well with Notre Dame, Oklahoma (will Jalen Hurts bring the Sooners their third straight Heisman winning QB), and Michigan...considering this could be a lame duck year for Jim Harbaugh.
