Tonight's clinching scenarios:

Vegas can clinch a playoff spot with an OT appearance. A win in regulation puts them and St. Louis in.

Washington can clinch a playoff spot with a win. If they lose in OT/SO, MTL/CBJ has to end in regulation regardless of winner.

St. Louis and Vegas can both clinch playoff spots if they at least reach OT in their respective games, or with an Arizona loss.

Blues and Golden Knights both clinch playoff spots; only two left in the West. Canucks are eliminated from playoff contention.

Tonight's clinching scenarios:

Calgary can clinch the Pacific with a San Jose regulation loss. Add a Jets loss and Calgary will clinch the top spot in the West.

Toronto can clinch a playoff spot with (at least) an OT appearance or a Montréal loss.

The Islanders can clinch a playoff spot with a win. If they lose in OT/SO, Montréal has to lose. Even if NYI loses in regulation, they can get in with a Montréal regulation loss.

Dallas can clinch a playoff spot with a win.

Washington can clinch the Metropolitan with a win or an Islanders regulation loss. If Washington loses in OT/SO, New York's loss does not have to be in regulation.

Winnipeg can clinch the Central with a win, a Nashville regulation loss, and a St. Louis loss.

Pittsburgh can clinch a playoff spot with a win or a Montréal regulation loss. If they lose in OT/SO, either of the following has to happen:

1. Montréal loss
2. Carolina regulation loss

Carolina can clinch a playoff spot with a ROW and a Montréal loss. A SOW means that Montréal would have to lose in regulation.

Colorado can clinch a playoff spot with (at least) an OT appearance or an Arizona loss.

Clinching and positioning scenarios for the final day:

Columbus can clinch the 1st Wild Card and face Washington in the Metropolitan Division Semifinals with a win and a Carolina loss. If they lose in OT/SO, Carolina's loss has to be in regulation.

Dallas can clinch the 1st Wild Card position and face the Central Division winner in the Central Division Semifinals with at least an OT appearance or with a Colorado loss.

Colorado can clinch the 1st Wild Card position and face the Central Division winner in the Central Division Semifinals with a win and Dallas losing in regulation.

The Islanders can clinch 2nd place in the Metropolitan and home ice in the Metropolitan Division Semifinals with at least an OT appearance or a Pittsburgh loss.

Pittsburgh can clinch 3rd place in the Metropolitan and a meeting with the Islanders in the Metropolitan Division Semifinals with at least an OT appearance or a Carolina loss. In order to clinch 2nd place, Pittsburgh needs a ROW and an Islanders regulation loss.

Carolina can clinch 3rd place in the Metropolitan and a meeting with the Islanders in the Metropolitan Division Semifinals with a win and a Pittsburgh regulation loss.

Nashville, Winnipeg, and St. Louis are vying for the Central Division title. The scenarios:

Nashville clinches the Central and faces the 1st Wild Card in the Central Division Semifinals with a win or regulation losses from Winnipeg and St. Louis. If they lose in OT/SO, neither team's loss has to be in regulation.

If Nashville wins the division, Winnipeg and St. Louis will face each other in the Central Division Semifinals. Winnipeg can clinch home ice in that series with at least an OT appearance or a St. Louis loss. If STL loses in regulation, WPG would get home ice regardless. St. Louis can clinch home ice vs WPG with a win and a WPG loss. If they lose in OT/SO, Winnipeg's loss has to be in regulation.

Winnipeg can clinch the Central and face the 1st Wild Card in the Central Division Semifinals with a win and a Nashville loss. If they lose in OT/SO, Nashville's loss has to be in regulation, and St. Louis has to lose.

If Winnipeg wins the division, Nashville and St. Louis will face each other in the Central Division Semifinals. Nashville can clinch home ice in that series with an OT appearance and a St. Louis SOW or lower. St. Louis can clinch home ice with a ROW and a Nashville loss.

St. Louis can clinch the Central and face the 1st Wild Card in the Central Division Semifinals with a win and losses from both Nashville and Winnipeg. If they lose in OT/SO, BOTH teams have to lose in regulation.

If St. Louis wins the division, Nashville and Winnipeg will face each other in the Central Division Semifinals. Winnipeg can clinch home ice in that series with an OT appearance and a Nashville regulation loss. Nashville clinches home ice with a Winnipeg regulation loss.
