It’s strange how the morning people there are held accountable for bad ratings but the night people are not

(She never got much in the way of ratings either, but if they’re moving back to Atlanta, could Robin Meade or other HLN people be making a return?)

I think they have bigger problems than the hosts.

Doesn’t sound like Poppy is popular at CNN

Is there anyone CNN could hire to improve ratings? I'm guessing not. Also, surprised Poppy isn't that popular. She's been there for 16 years.

Not to get too political, but the only way CNN's ratings will improve is if Trump gets back into office.

The brand CNN is dead in the USA. Overseas it might still be worth a damn but it is over in America.

Overall viewership is way down, and the way we as viewers perception wise towards the channel is completely (or mostly completely) gone.

It's easy to blame how it went down the tubes so quickly--Fox News and a bunch of streaming outlets. Once the migration took hold in the late 1990's/early 2000's, somehow they began to lose their group as the dominant cable news source.

Couple that with the shuttering of popular media websites largely due to money issues in keeping websites afloat in this uncertain economy included the likes of Media Life, Electronic Media/TV Week, TV Media Insights, Radio & Records, Mediaweek, TV Barn, and TV By The Numbers--just to name a few.

It is sad, but people have to get creative. Google searches may not turn up with quality journalism like it once was prior to Elon Musk rebranding Twitter to X.
We get our news mostly via podcasts and times change.

Whether we like or not, we have to live with it.
And nothing lasts forever. Just ask Robin Meade.

At least, we have Mediaite as a news media source.

Maybe finally some sanity coming to this place.
None of these people have delivered anything close to rating success that would justify their ridiculous salaries.

We already knew this was coming, but it was just a matter of when--not so much who would be on the chopping block.

I suspect too little / too late. They don't need to move to the right of Fox, but more in the middle. Not to mention stop telling people what the correct ideas are, but present all sides, and let the viewers decided.
