I know on some level we'll still be influenced by their looks, but who do you like watching in terms of their of presentation the news and weather. Who really helps inform you about what's going on in the world? Who do you think excels at their job?

For example, Yalda Hakim of BBC World News is very beautiful, but I also think she is a good journalist. The mini documentaries she produces on Afghanistan are quite informative.

Does longevity count? It's one thing to get a job at CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, etc. but it's another to keep the job for say a decade.

If it matters for you then that counts. I do consider it myself.

Hannah Storm for going from Sports to News back to Sports. Also, doing play-by-play for the WNBA and the NFL for Amazon before they got Thursday Night Football from the NFL Network and she directed a couple of the SEC storied episodes (SEC Network's version of 30 for 30).

:ditto

Clarissa Ward has done outstanding reporting for several years as well.

Britt Clennett reports out of Ukraine the first year.

Selina Ward reporting from China the last 3+ years has been noteworthy.

Elle Reeve with Vice & CNN has done great in depth domestic stories.

Erin Burnett & Nicole Wallace do a great job each day anchoring their programs.

Also, Lara Logan was great. CBS/60 Minutes. Reporting from Iraq & many other stories. Unfortunately she went off the rails in recent years. :Crazy :Joker :blah

The Atlantic just published an excellent in-depth article about this. You'll need to be a suscriber or do a free trial to read it.

Agree with both ladies, especially Erin going from Financial News to News News. The same goes for Poppy Harlow.

Poppy holding down a chaotic morning show the last few months and she earned a Master of Studies in Law (M.S.L.) degree from Yale Law School in 2022.

Also add Ginger Zee. More than just the GMA "weather girl." Really passionate about Meteorology and reporting from the field when major weather events happen.

Ginger has decent longevity on her, being at ABC for 12 years and the chief meteorologist for a decade, consistently at the top of her game. How time flies. One moment she's a young woman. Now, she's 42 and entering 'middle age'.

And Ginger is the author of five books, two regarding her mental health journey and three teaching young kids about learning science is great when you study the weather.

We know about Christiane Amampour, but aren't you forgetting the all-time favorite: Diane Sawyer!!!!

I mean, she's been at this since the '70s, while or before some of us were even born (though I've been watching her since 60 Minutes)!

(Of course, I also would've said Hadley Gamble...had she not done any sexual favors to score high-profile interviews (like the one with Vladimir Putin))

Those are steep accusations against Ms. Gamble, you have proof right?

Am I missing something here? These articles say she had relationships with two executives and that she got something out of those relationships like anyone would. I don't see anything about her doing sexual favors to score high profile interviews.

Margaret Brennan.

Beginning at CNBC, then to Bloomberg, and over to CBS where she served as their White House Correspondent as well as morning show host. Margaret also reported from overseas during the Obama and Trump administration.
While just 20 years into her journalistic career, she still has a long way to go. As the "Face" of Face The Nation she can hold that position for 20+ years if she wishes to do so. She is a fierce interviewer that gets answers.
